The Trust required an interim Chief Financial Officer to manage the transition to a new appointee. This assignment was wonderfully managed by the Trust with a clear transition between the outgoing CFO, a period of close collaboration with the new CFO before they took up appointment and an overlap with the new CFO to ensure a smooth transition and provide assurance on the outcomes of the assignment. The assignment spanned the year end and the delivery of an annual plan during a period of significant regulatory change. The introduction of control totals and Sustainability and Transformation Plans for Quaternary service providers like Great Ormond Street creates enormous challenges.
